Safeguarding

Inverness Tennis & Squash Club is committed to prioritising the well-being of all children and vulnerable adults at risk and promoting safeguarding at our club at all times.

The Welfare Officer is responsible for promoting safeguarding within the club and working with others to ensure a safe and inclusive environment is achieved. The Welfare Officer is Andrew Callanan. We are committed to the LTA’s Safe and Inclusive Code of Conduct and the Scottish Squash Child Wellbeing & Protection policy.

What is a Welfare Officer? Click here to find out about the role.

Any Club Member can contact Andrew in confidence to discuss welfare matters. Andrew can be contacted via email to welfare@inverness-tennis-and-squash-dev.tasdemo.co.uk

If however you do not feel comfortable raising a concern with the Club Welfare Officer, concerns can also be raised with the LTA Safeguarding Team directly on 020 8487 7000 or by email at safeguarding@lta.org.uk or by completing the LTA Concern Form which can be found here.

Advice is also available from Scottish Squash on 0131 451 8525 or by email at Child.Protection@scottishsquash.org

In an emergency and/or if you are concerned that a child is at immediate risk of harm, please call the police without delay on 999.

Child Supervision – in line with National NSPCC advice – all children under the age of 13 attending the club outside of coaching programmes and other organised club activities should be supervised by a parent or known adult.
